Far Horizon Lodge

Far Horizon Lodge is nestled in the tiny village of Banners Rest, Port Edward, on the Lower South Coast, Kwa-Zulu Natal. Our Guest Lodge is well appointed to take advantage of the diverse inland and seaside attractions and activities which Port Edward is renowned for.

There is a large veranda where the guests can enjoy their breakfasts and dinners. The Guest Lodge is slightly outside of the village of Port Edward, therefore you will not experience the holiday traffic. We provide plenty of secure parking, with security guard patrols at night.

There are numerous places of interest in the area, including the Wild Coast Casino Water World, The Red Desert Conservation Area, Umtamvuna River, and Old Pont. Guest are welcome to bring their speed and leisure boats. The Port Edward blue flag beach is 1.9 km from the Lodge.

Tranquil gardens surround the lodge where guests may take the opportunity to relax, read, or just enjoy nature. There is a braai area set under the 80-year-old walnut tree canopy, where comfortable outdoor chairs are available for guests to enjoy.
